Focus: Medical Office Administration
Entrance Requirements: This program requires a 12th-grade level of reading, and candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements:
- Having a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, OR
- Having Passed the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), Form a Level 7–8, with a Minimum Reading Score of 624, Which Is Equivalent to the 12th-Grade Level of Reading.

This program provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully perform the duties of entry-level medical office administrators. The major contents of this program will cover medical terminology of the body organs, coding for medical diseases, medical treatment procedures, drug names and medical diagnoses in the medical report, laboratory tests and procedures, payers claim processing policies and procedures, processing medical claim issues, medical office legal issues, medical office administrative principles and procedures, communication skills with physicians and patients, and manage patients’ records manually and electronically.

Introduction to Keyboarding I and Formatting Essentials
Students will learn basic skills in typing, developing keyboarding skills, alphabetic skills, figure and keys, and be able to type 25 wpm within 3 minutes with 95% accuracy.
Introduction to Keyboarding II and Formatting Essentials
Students will learn how to format business documents, word processing basics, business correspondence, and simple reports and tables. Students will learn how to edit these documents and develop speed. Students will be able to type 30 wpm within 5 minutes with 95% accuracy.
Introduction to Medical Terminology
Students will learn how to add prefixes and suffixes of terms, abbreviate terms, give meanings of abbreviations, and write medical terms and their definitions accurately. Also, students will learn body structure and organization.
Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology
Students will learn and understand the organization and structure of the body by identifying parts of the system, describing disorders of the system, and labeling structures of diagrams.
Introduction to Medical Insurance and Medical Coding

This program prepares students in developing their keyboarding skills, computer applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access) 2010. Also, students will be prepared for administrative office procedures that focus on concept retention and developing critical thinking skills and building office skills focusing on developing practical problem-solving and operational skills that can be used immediately on the job. Upon completing the course, students will have developed speed and accuracy, typing at least 30 wpm, will be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, and will know how to handle multiple tasks following instructions and independently managing time while adhering to organizational constraints of time and resources.

This program prepares students in developing their keyboarding skills and computer applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access) 2007. Also, students will have a better understanding of legal terminology, which reinforces understanding and connects new terms and concepts to real life, and will prepare and type legal documents. Students will be introduced to law and legal processes, criminal law, business law, traditional law, law and family, government and law, and the legal profession. Upon completing of the course, students will have developed speed and accuracy, typing at least 30 wpm, will be proficient in MS Word, will be able to process legal documents, and will know how to independently handle multiple tasks following instructions.
Focus: Basic Accounting and QuickBooks

The basic accounting and QuickBooks programs is composed of keyboarding, Microsoft Excel, accounting, and QuickBooks. Students will develop keyboarding skills, accuracy and data entry skills and computer applications, Microsoft Excel—spreadsheets, and the use of different formulas; accounting—financial statements, recording business transactions, adjusting, retrieving entries, receivables, and payables, complete checkbook adjustments, reconcile bank accounts, use online banking, complete timesheets for payroll, and back up data using QuickBooks.
Focus: Computerized QuickBooks and Accounting

The course provides an introduction to the principles of accounting and the uses of accounting software, specifically QuickBooks, to keep the records of a company's business transactions. After satisfactorily completing the program, students will be able to invoice payments, track accounts, company(s) process, receivables and payables, complete checkbook adjustments, reconcile bank accounts, use online banking, complete timesheets for payroll, and back up data using QuickBooks. Focus: Customer Service Training
Entrance Requirements: Basic Keyboarding Skills, High School Diploma or GED; If Applicant Does Not Have Diploma or GED, Applicant Must Satisfactorily Complete an Entrance ExamAward Upon Completion: Diploma
The course is designed to develop customer service workplace skills, such as interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and working as a member of a team. Students will gain the confidence needed to make effective decisions and handle customer complaints. Participants will also receive training in Microsoft Word, typing, resume prep, and job search. Students will be provided with job placement assistance.
Focus: TASC PREP PROGRAM
The Approved GED Program will consist of the following: (English-Writing, Standard Written English, Essay Strategies, Revising, Editing, and Proofreading); (Social Studies-American History, Economics, Political Science, and Geography); (Science-Biology, Chemistry, and Physics); (Math-Arithmetic, Algebra, and Geometry). After satisfactorily completing the course, students will be given a final exam and a post-test. Then, the students will be scheduled for the State Board Exam. Students may be provided with job placement assistance.
Focus: Database SQL Server Administrator
Entrance Requirements: This Program Requires a 12th-Grade Level of Reading, and Candidates Must Have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
This curriculum is designed to introduce students to structured query language. They will work with databases, maintain databases, and back up and restore databases. Students will be introduced to automation in the structured query language. After satisfactorily completing the program, students will log shipping, replication, data mirroring, failover clustering, and query performance tuning and monitoring.
Focus: Database Systems Analyst
Entrance Requirements: This Program Requires a 12th-Grade Level of Reading, and Candidates Must Have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
The curriculum is designed to introduce students to transact-structured query language and T-structured query language, programming, intermediate T-structured programming, language concepts, and advanced language T-structured query language. After the students satisfactorily complete the program, they will complete indexes and statistics.
Focus: ESL Beginning
The curriculum is designed to prepare students for training in three levels. Each level consists of 100 hours which will prepare the students for basic grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Heavy emphasis will be placed on grammar, writing, language arts, life skills, and how to compose and construct sentences. After the students satisfactorily complete the training, the students will be provided with job placement assistance.
